Peanut Butter Cookies
These soft, chewy peanut butter cookies are simple to make and packed with rich peanut butter flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture and mix until combined.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
- Use a fork to gently press a crisscross pattern into the tops of the cookies.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
