Quiche

Ingredients

Hash Brown Crust

  • 4 cups frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Filling

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Add-Ins

  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • ½ cup diced bell pepper
  • 1 cup sautéed spinach (optional)
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Hash Brown Crust

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Squeeze excess moisture from hash browns.
  3. Combine hash browns, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
  4. Press firmly into the bottom and sides of a greased 9-inch pie dish.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Reduce oven temperature to 375°F.

Prepare the Filling

  1. Sprinkle cheddar cheese, bacon, onion, and any optional vegetables into the crust.
  2. Whisk together eggs, cream, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Pour egg mixture over the fillings.

Bake

  1. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and lightly golden.
  2. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
