Quiche
Ingredients
Hash Brown Crust
- 4 cups frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Filling
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Add-Ins
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- ½ cup diced onion
- ½ cup diced bell pepper
- 1 cup sautéed spinach (optional)
- ½ cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Hash Brown Crust
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Squeeze excess moisture from hash browns.
- Combine hash browns, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
- Press firmly into the bottom and sides of a greased 9-inch pie dish.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Reduce oven temperature to 375°F.
Prepare the Filling
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese, bacon, onion, and any optional vegetables into the crust.
- Whisk together eggs, cream, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Pour egg mixture over the fillings.
Bake
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and lightly golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
